We are just wrapping up a 5 day production on SABER’s new flag edition, which is turning out to be quite an outstanding production! As always, SABER is an absolute pleasure to have in the studio. He’s incredibly hard-working and process-oriented when it comes to his artmaking – which has proven to be the complete composition of a perfect printmaker! Within this past 5 days we have been able to lay down about 10 colors and intend on adding another 3-4 throughout the rest of the day.
As you can see from the process photos below, all of the separations were done by hand in the Modern Multiples studio. The paper is all hand-made from Nepal and took about 4 months to finally arrive at our doorstep – well worth the wait if you ask us!
The entire edition will consist of 120 total prints. There will be 80 prints in the regular edition, 15 printed in black and purple, 15 Hand-Painted-Multiples, 5 Artist’s Proofs and 5 Printer’s Proofs. Each print measures a whopping 31 x 39 in. (199.99 x 251.61 cm) and will come complete with a Certificate of Authenticity from the studio signed by SABER and our Master Printer.
